Tales of humor, heartbreak, and hope

These pages hold stories stitched with laughter, loss, and longing. Pull up a pint and stay awhile!!!
A Word Before the Tales
Before the tales unfold, I owe you a word or two—about who I am, and why these stories matter.
This blog is a hearth for stories stitched with humor, heartbreak, and hope. I write to remember, to reflect, and to reach across time with tales that feel both familiar and strange. While reading, your own memories may sneak up on you and tug at your heart. Some are true. Some are nearly true. All are told with care.
You may already read my memoir “You Can’t Get Blisters Treading the Waters of Life” published recently or my genealogical manuscript of my paternal side published in 1993. If so, you will be familiar with my writing.
You’ll find serialized stories here—some whimsical, some weighty. I’ll post as the stories come, perhaps weekly, perhaps slower. But always with intention.
I’m a writer shaped by Irish heritage, old songs, and the rhythm of spoken word. I believe in the power of a well-placed pause, a pint shared, and a story that lingers.
If you’ve ever laughed through tears or found truth in fiction, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to the Boyle Blogs.
